What is BaZi?

BaZi (八字), also known as the "Four Pillars of Destiny", is a Chinese system for personality analysis and life planning that is over 3,000 years old. Unlike Western astrology, which is mainly based on zodiac signs, BaZi uses the exact birth hour to create a precise energetic profile.

The Four Pillars Explained

Your BaZi chart consists of four pillars, each consisting of a Heavenly Stem and an Earthly Branch:

BaZi is based on the five elements of Chinese philosophy:

• Fire (火) – Passion, transformation, visibility
• Earth (土) – Stability, nutrition, trust

• Water (水) – Wisdom, flow, adaptability
